New Smartboard for 3rd Grade
Mrs. Campbell's third grade class recently received a SMARTboard in their classroom. Students are already putting it to good use practicing reading, writing and collaboration skills.
QR Codes in Kindergarten
Mrs. Schwartz's Kindergarten class uses iPads to scan QR codes, read the color word, and color the response sheet the correct color. They also use QR codes to practice reading word families. Once they scan the code, they have to read the list of words (hat, cat, bat, etc.).
3rd Grade kidblog
Third graders in Mrs. Gerlach's class use Kidblog to practice their writing fluency. Through blogging, students also practice digital citizenship by commenting on each other's blog posts. See excerpts from their blog below.
Primary students enjoy using the lab in the Media Center where they work on a variety of projects designed to teach basic computer skills. Students have created Lego and Wild Thing avatars, written autobiographies, and produced pamphlets.
